So this blog was originally going to be just dedicated to my art. However, that’s kinda boring. I have a lot of other interests that I want to share. Plus, I have some crazy/cute pets. I’ll still post pics of finished art pieces as well as anything else art related I do. I’m still playing around with the blog design, so don’t be surprised if it changes… a lot. Speaking of finished art, this photo, Backwater’s Buddy, was recently on display at the Southwest Library as part of my The Color of Magic exhibit. It was taken in last July at Backwater’s, a great waterside restaurant on Sand Key Beach (Clearwater Beach. This piece is for sale & looks best as an 11x14, but can be printed smaller. Pricing is based on size.

Tech Pooptastic Part One: The Melting

Image
Yesterday was tech pooptastic. I spent a huge portion of my day fixing and updating my PC in addition to working on my iPhone and iPad. I finally got around to updating my iPhone to the latest IOS & I backed up my photos while I wait for the PC to finish updating to the latest Windows 10. I have a SSD & iTunes forces my phone & iPad backups on the C Drive (Apple needs to fix that ridiculousness), which is only used for my OS & programs. The backups took all the space on my C Drive, so I haven't been able to back up my phone since October. I wanted to just sync some Sue Grafton audio books (more on that later) & my iTunes pooped out & stopped syncing. When I looked up the error, it said that sometimes iTunes stops syncing if the OS isn't fully updated to the latest version. So, I deleted my backups and restarted the computer. I started this post on my iPad while I waited for the computer to finish restarting. It took it's sweet time. BTW thi...

Life

So here I am at Barnes & Noble, killing time before I go in to work. I got my butt up early and left the house without having any coffee, so I could get to the library before we open. I finished installing my exhibit, and I have to admit I'm nervous. It's never taken me this long to install, and I don't want it to seem like I half-assed anything.  I have to remind myself the reason I took longer to install is because this is the first time I did it by myself. I started last week, slowly filling up my display areas, until finally I was able to go in early and finish. In years past I've been lucky that my mom was able to help out, but this year a confluence of events prevented this.  I'm used to working under deadline and in chaos. I thought I had accepted the fact that there will always be something, so you can't put off creating, etc. until things calmed down. Nothing could have prepared me for this. The perfect crap storm of life is raining hell on me. I wo...
